Trevor Noah is a South African comedian. He will take over as host of The Daily Show after Jon Stewart leaves, c. 2015/2016.
His father is white (of Swiss-German) descent. His mother is black (of Xhosa background). His parents’ relationship was illegal at the time of his birth. His mother was fined and jailed as a result.
Trevor has also said, “My mum doesn’t fit into any category, she’s a black South African woman who’s half Jewish”.
